Huh?

I'll be the first to admit it.  I haven't kept up with my promise of posting every day.  In all fairness, I have taken pictures every day recently.  You just don't get to see them, I guess!


What have I been doing with my time??


Well, Etsy, of course.


With Jer's unfortunate paycut (that's also cut us to the core), I decided to try a few things at home before trying to get a job outside the home.  I really don't know what I'd do if I had to get a job... leaving my babies would be the most difficult thing in the world and even thinking about it makes me tear up... OK. Lets not think about that. So, in my efforts to make up for a bit of his pay cut, I've decided to open an etsy shop. Selling what?  My crochet things of course!  And, sometimes photo prints as I see fit, but since I'm more of a human photographer, those will be few and far between.

One of the things I look forward to as a parent is reaping the benefits of my children's Halloween spoils. This year, not only did the kids make out like little bandits, but they also got the good stuff. You know, none of that overabundance of double bubble, tootsie rolls, and dum dum suckers. Today I sat down while the kids were busy and separated all of the candy into piles... Stuff only the kids would eat, stuff I could pass as candy (but is actually healthy) and stick in the diaper bag for treats, stuff that my hubby and I would enjoy, and the crap that no one in this house likes; Kids, Healthy, Us, and Garbage... respectively.

This year, I stumbled upon this little bit of goodness.... A Mallo Cup. I'm definitely a fan of the more old time type candy and generally covet the Sugar Babies and the very rare Sugar Daddy. This was quite a welcome surprise! After spending just moments in the "US" pile, this morsel of heaven was rigorously consumed (and very quietly as I might add, so as not to attract any little 'sharers').

I've decided that I need to get back in the swing of things with my photography. I need motivation to keep learning and something that is MINE. With 3 children running my life, its hard to take time for myself. Lately, I've felt like I've been stuffed into this 'mom' box and I can't escape. Photography has always been a very honest and natural thing for me, and is very therapeutic!

So, I'm restarting project 365. I will take a picture each and every day for the next year. Sometimes they'll be of my children (like today), but I promise to take off my mommy goggles and see through different eyes. If you see me getting in a rut and posting pictures of my children often, please feel free to yell at me!!

The photo for today is of my sweet baby boy, Lennon. He is already 9 weeks old and he's happy to be alive!!!
